Morning Greetings

I was raised in a family that had goats. I remember, occasionally, seeing these adorable little creatures playing with one another. I remember trying to pet them, and they’d scurry away.

Little things, similarly miniaturized, have always tickled me. I’m not sure why, but it’s true. I remember always loving the littlest pots and pans my mom had in the kitchen. Babies, animals or human, just as freaking adorable.

So that is a tidbit about me, what about you? Can you share something about yourself?

10 Positive Things

This is a challenge by Bipolar Whispers. She’s asked us to list ten things we love about ourselves that’s not related to mental health.

Once the list has been completed, she’s asked us to link the post back to her original post.

I’m adding an addition piece by tagging 3 bloggers that I don’t know well, to participate if so desires.

10 Things I Love About Me

1. I accept individuals where they are in life.

2. I laugh at dry humor.

3. I love to learn.

4. I’m not attached to “possessions”.

5. I can grow of plants from seeds.

6. My cooking isn’t too bad.

7. I understand children well.

8. I teach my girls to be strong and independent.

9. My heart is so giving.

10. I am proud of my photography.

Destination: Cleveland, Ohio

Not long ago, I started what’s called a Traveling Blog Journal. You can read my original post about it here. Thus far, our journal had travel to Maryland to visit Kristian. Next, it traveled to Minnesota to visit Joy. From there, the journal ended up in Massachusetts with Heather! You can read about each destination on the page widget I’ve placed in my profile.

” Each person who is tagged, please tag someone to do the next post, and create a pingback to the original post ” (link in the “here” above)

I decided I’m going to go next, since there was a stop in the route.

I’m a BORN – N – RAISED Ohioian:) The hospital where I was born no longer has a NICU unit. The small town of which I was raised is called Bellaire ( just like Fresh Prince). It’s a super small industrial town, lining the Ohio River.

I now live in Cleveland, OH.

I never thought I’d live here… Or have ANY reason to stay here… Time most certainly changed that.

Some of my favorite things about home:

It’s richness of culture! {photo credit linked}

Restaurants of all kinds, from mom and pop stops to a variety of cuisine!

Garfield Mausoleum @ Lake View Cemetary{photo credit linked}

Cleveland is full of amazingly designed interior and exterior buildings.

Chagrin Falls, Ohio {photo credit attached}

There’s pleasantly just as wildlife as there is city life to enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by! I’m sending this traveling Blog Journal to its next lucky visitor, Julie!!

Traveling Blog Journal

So here’s the idea :

I would love to pass a blog post, as if a journal, around. For the person tagged, I’d like you to just introduce yourself and tell us from what STATE/COUNTRY you reside. I’d like you to write something interesting about where you live once you’ve identified that. Then you can add a couple of your own details, if you’d like.

Each person who is tagged, please tag someone at the end of your post, and create a pingback to this post

Most of all,

Have Fun! 💖💚🌼

Thank you!!

The honor of being our first stop on the traveling journal is Mrs. Kristian W

Grounding

This exercise idea has come from a site called Taking Care of You: Create a Life You Love.

3 Things For The Senses

What 3 things do you __________

Hear right now?

See right now?

Can reach out and touch?

Smell?

Taste?

On Taking Care of You, this exercise mentioned is one of meditation. This also helps you to focus on the elements around you, that your anxiety and /or depression dilutes. You can work yourself down from an anxiety attack. It’s a great little trick to help you refocus.

Pinterest provided the feature photo.

Suggestion

Here’s a suggestion fellow bloggers :

Diversify the format in which you present your material.

We have fans who can’t see. We have fans who are constantly traveling. We have fans that are preteen or pre-golden. We have fans that speak French, and ones who can’t read fine print. I believe if you accommodate to a bigger audience, your kindness will be returned tenfold.

That’s just my suggestion anyway 🙂

Self Reflection Questions

I love thought provoking questions. They challenge me to consider what I truly believe, ask why, and consider alternative options.

Here’s a great list I found on Pinterest.

The first question caught my interest. I think ” good enough” and ” acceptable” will always be self defined. I believe that their definitions will always vary from one individual to the next. I, also, believe these definitions will change in the course of an individual’s life.

What do I mean by self-defined? I create my definition of what’s “good enough”. I decide what I can live with, a far as accepting who I am.

Varies from one person to the next? Though society has established “social norms”, everyone other than me will need to decide when or if they feel good enough. They’ll know when and/or if they accept themselves. No two people believe exactly the same.

Changing with time? As stimuli begins to challenge my thought process, hormones begin to influence my body and mind, and expierences provide insight, I will alter my definition of ” good enough”. I will change what I believe to be acceptable.

The best concept in this evolving idea, is to love yourself as you are, accept who you are currently, while becoming who you want to be. If you love yourself to understand your imperfections and mortality, you’ll accept yourself with greater confidence.

What are your thoughts regarding feeling ” good enough” and ” that which is acceptable” of yourself?
