Wisdom for the Week

  • It’s ok to be sad for doing the right thing.
  • It’s ok to be sad for saying the hard things.
  • Truth can hurt.. But, you mustn’t allow fear to hinder you from speaking it (weather in word or in deed)!
  • Being first means you struggled most.
  • Being #1 means you’re in an odd place
  • But the truth being said or done isn’t for you, it’s for the best interest of the other person.
  • THAT’S the courage you posses.

Your Life: Your Choice

Lots of my past has been reacting to situations. Let’s be honest, I’m not the only one!

What my therapist has spoken to me about; and, what maturity has developed in time… is a pause.

Think before act.

Think before speak.

Think through it.

Think about all possibilities.

Think about what’s REALLY going on.

Think about inner conflict and projection.

Lots of logical thought…

That pausing breaks down anxiety… and allows me to transition from feeling to rationality.

It’s a whole different result, when you pause then decide.

When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.”

The strongest people find the courage and caring to help others, even if they are going through their own storm.
