I’m Reminded of a Few Things

February is, indeed, Black History Month. It’s a somber month for me; because, there’s so much I’ve yet to learn.
I watched a powerful video on TikTok this morning. It reminded me the joy that comes in the faithfulness of God’s will for my life. Never will life be perfect. Never will life have zero stress and storms. It’s the wisdom in the uncertainty that builds Faith!
This is eve of Groundhog’s Day! Will our chubby, fluffy, furry friend see his shadow tomorrow? Time will tell.
“ Since 1887, Groundhog Day festivities have been held at Gobbler’s Knob” – Source in hyperlink attached to image. Punxsutawney is actually in Pennsylvania!
Patience really is a virtue. Growing up, I always heard, “Haste makes waste!” What does that mean? When my daughter is beginning a task, less than 3 minutes later, she’s fussing. She’s distraught, acting in frustration that never gets the task accomplished. It dawned on me, this generation is instantaneousists. Everything takes less than 1.5 minutes. The patience teaches us the value of real life natural progress. It allows for time to happen as it’s meant to. I struggle with this myself; but, I’m learning.

That said, the sun is out here and I’m going to find the joys in my day. My vehicle part needing replaced is just a hiccup that’s been extended due to weather. I don’t need anything right now. I’m blessed, and thankful!

Salted Caramel’s 5 Things Tuesday

Her question: If you could make 5 changes to the world, what would they be?

My answers:

  1. There would be houses bought up, with leans and loans paid, so homeless people could be off the street.
  2. Veterans would have unlimited access to therapists, professionals, and reintegrations resources.
  3. CEO’S would be required to work 20+ hours a week in their employees’ locations. This would produce leaders rather than bosses.
  4. Children and animal abuse would result in the harshest punishment allowed.
  5. Water and Air, anywhere, would be free.

What would this world look like if you had the opportunity to change 5 things?

What Do You See #171

He was a proud man, a leader in every sense of the word. He wore the burdens of every generation before him; praying for the day when the load would lift, even alittle.

As nights became days, and the sun’s unmerciful rays called him back to the field.. He prayed, that the load would lift, even a little. Every torn that pricked his skin, every blister that formed upon his arms, the labor was far too much, for even a proud man.

The sun moved past twelve, the sun dial said so. He prayed his burden would lift, even alittle. The Good Lord was his saving Grace.. This his momma taught him… “You just gotta keep on doing what the Master’s say!” She would mind him. His momma had so much wisdom.

Then, one day, the most unusual thing happened. He was instructed to grab his things, and flee. There were wars inside the walls of the grand house… And His people risked the chance to gain freedom.

This statue is Mr Gregor, the bravest and most honorable man from Zumberhill Plantation. The missing parts of his body are said to be pieces he left in all that he touched… While the rest were the bare minimum of necessities, in his bag. He never minded giving so much of himself, for the Good Lord promised Streets of Gold… So he prayed, and prayed, for the lighter load.

Hope you enjoyed.

Ponder This Question

The image is of a cell phone text screen. On the screen poses the question, What would that one text message say? Below it is the traditional iPhone typing bubbles. Below that, in brackets, says The one you just can’t send.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge

Here’s the host with details 🙂 Hope you’ll join in this challenge!

Fun fact about me: I can’t STAND my feet wet! I can barely stand a bath or shower. When it comes to set sand, wet floors, public splash pads, nope…. I can’t handle it. Additionally, my legs were one of my favorite parts of my body.. until I had kids.

SO… let’s find some pretty, comfortable, dry legs and feet:
